Junior Columbia
The Columbia Youth Program was established to recognize youth under 21 years of age who are actively involved in the breeding and promotion of Columbia sheep.
The objective: To encourage youth to select Columbia sheep as a youth project and to retain these youth as active Columbia sheep breeders after they reach adult age.
Awards: A $50 certificate good towards the purchase of a registered Columbia sheep is given to point-earners each year. The award will only be given to an individual one time. For more information on how you can earn points for this award contact the Columbia Sheep Association.
Junior Association Ewe Lamb Raffle
This year’s raffle ewe will make her new home in Missouri. Congratulations to the Wissman family of Raspberry Meadows Farms for buying the lucky ticket. To everyone who bought tickets that weren’t so lucky, thank you! Your support will help the Junior Association continue breed promotion, the scholarship, and more. Thank you again to Geerts Family Columbias for donating the ewe!
Scholarship Winner
This year’s Junior Columbia scholarship winner is Christopher Crider of Aerosmith, IL. He will begin his collegiate experience at South Dakota State University this fall. Congratulations and good luck!
